Your guide to Sevens

Read the position before choosing your next action. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

Practice beyond the first move

Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end. Start a new round when you are ready to try again.

The purpose of your moves

Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

Start here and follow along

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

How your actions work

The example and rules describe the same game you can play above. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Work through an example

Begin with the basic rule, then follow the result of your action. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Where a round can go wrong

The board gives you the information needed for the next action. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence. The game area remains available above the explanation.
