Find your footing in Declaration Practice

Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Take the next action only when the current step is clear. Before making a move, check the cards in view. Start a 10-question session. Read the visible rule label and wild rank, if shown. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

500 stored and rule-checked questions; ten questions per session. Questions can repeat across sessions. Practice is solo, with no rating, cash reward or account.

Bring this focus to a round

Look at the complete hand before deciding. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

Aim for this result

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. Look at the complete hand before deciding.

The order of play

  1. Start a 10-question session. Read the visible rule label and wild rank, if shown.
  2. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence.
  3. Study the complete hand before answering. Choose Valid or Not valid.
  4. Read the explanation after submitting. Each question accepts one submitted answer.
  5. Continue to the tenth question for a session score; start another session for a new selection.

Getting comfortable with the controls

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. Keep the active rule in mind.

Try this example

Example hand: J♠ 4♣ 6♥ 7♣ 9♥ 8♠ 4♥ 5♣ K♥ J♥ J♠ 8♣ 6♦. Wild rank 10. No full grouping meets the two-sequence and pure-sequence requirement. The penalty for this hand is 80 points. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Avoid this misunderstanding

Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Answers about the rules and controls

What is the aim?

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Use the rule sheet as a reference. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

How do I use the controls?

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. Take a moment to read the table. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Which format is available?

500 stored and rule-checked questions; ten questions per session. Questions can repeat across sessions. Practice is solo, with no rating, cash reward or account. Take a moment to read the table. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

What should I check before a move?

Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. Take a moment to read the table. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Can you give an example?

One pure run, another joker-assisted run and two complete sets can cover a valid 13-card hand. Before making a move, check the cards in view. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

How many questions are available?

This exercise contains 500 stored questions. A session selects ten without repeating within that session. A clear plan starts with the current position. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Can I change a submitted answer?

No. Read the explanation, then continue. Start another session to practise again. Keep the active rule in mind. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

Are the answers checked against the rules?

All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. A clear plan starts with the current position. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Will I always see new cards?

No. The bank is finite, so another session may include a previously played question. Keep the active rule in mind. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

What does the score measure?

The score is the number of correct answers in this ten-question session. It is not a skill certificate or a prediction of match results. Before making a move, check the cards in view. Use another round to revisit a decision.
